About me
Hey there!
I'm Rocco Langeweg, a freelance DevOps and Software Engineer in my thirties. Over the past 10+ years, I've worked for various markets and clients, ranging from Start- or Scale-ups to larger Enterprise customers.
Throughout my career, I've always strived to keep improving, looking back at what went exceptionally well and what could have been better to optimize both my skills and knowledge, which I continue to do every single day.
Having seen and run into many real-world problems, and having read numerous articles that don't translate well to real-world scenarios, I've decided to start sharing my knowledge directly while solving real-world problems.
As a Tech Lead for a software agency for many years, I've also seen which topics are hard to grasp and what really helps developers better understand certain concepts.
My focus mainly lies in Software Development & Architecture, DevOps, and Cloud (GCP or AWS), which is what you'll mostly find discussed here.
Besides these technologies, I'm a big fan of video games, movies, and travel. One of my highlights was our road trip through the USA's nature (CA, AZ, and NV) in 2022, and I hope to return there many more times.
In 2023, I became a father to a girl and am thoroughly enjoying life as a dad, looking forward to creating many memories with my family.
Feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn to learn more about my professional background and interests.
I'll also share some (amateur) photography from our past and future trips in a separate section of this blog and look forward to any great suggestions.
